A fun and easy snack board featuring air-popped popcorn loaded with a variety of sweet and savory toppings, perfect for any occasion and crowd-pleasing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 cups (about 250g) air-popped popcorn
  • Caramel sauce or drizzle (store-bought or homemade)
  • Mini chocolate chips or chopped dark chocolate
  • Dried cranberries or cherries
  • Toasted coconut flakes
  • Cinnamon sugar mix
  • Sharp cheddar cheese cubes or shredded cheddar
  • Roasted salted nuts (almonds, cashews, or pecans)
  • Everything bagel seasoning
  • Olives or pickled jalapeños
  • Sea salt flakes
  • Hummus or ranch dip (optional)
  • Fresh fruit slices (apple or pear)

Instructions

  1. Pop about 10 cups (250g) of popcorn kernels using an air popper or stovetop with a little oil, taking 5-7 minutes.
  2. In a small bowl, mix mini chocolate chips, dried cranberries, toasted coconut flakes, and cinnamon sugar. Warm caramel drizzle slightly if using, about 3 minutes.
  3. Cube or shred sharp cheddar cheese, roast nuts lightly if needed, and set aside olives or pickled jalapeños in small bowls. Prepare everything bagel seasoning for sprinkling, about 5 minutes.
  4. Spread popcorn evenly across a large serving board or platter. Place dips and some toppings in small bowls around the board.
  5. Drizzle caramel sauce lightly over a portion of the popcorn, then scatter the sweet topping mix over that area. On another side, sprinkle cheddar and roasted nuts over popcorn, finishing with sea salt flakes and everything bagel seasoning. Place olives and jalapeños in bowls for easy grabbing. This step takes 7-10 minutes.
  6. Add fresh apple or pear slices and any dips like ranch or hummus around the edges to complete the board.
  7. Before serving, ensure the board looks inviting but not cluttered, allowing guests to mix and match bites. Total prep and assembly time is about 20 minutes.

Notes

Drizzle caramel sparingly to avoid soggy popcorn. Toss toppings gently to prevent breaking popcorn. Prep toppings ahead but assemble just before serving to keep popcorn crisp. Reheat popcorn in a 300°F oven for 3 minutes to refresh crunch if needed. Customize toppings to dietary needs or preferences.
