Monster Oreo Bark Recipe Easy Homemade White Chocolate Candy Eyes Treat

monster Oreo bark recipe - featured image

A fun and easy treat combining creamy white chocolate, crunchy Oreo chunks, and quirky candy eyes for a playful monster-themed bark perfect for parties and Halloween.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces white chocolate chips or chunks (preferably Ghirardelli or Callebaut)
  • About 20 whole Oreos, broken into chunks
  • Around 30 candy eyes
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon coconut oil (to smooth out white chocolate if needed)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace by lining a baking sheet with parchment paper and breaking Oreos into bite-sized chunks.
  2. Melt the white chocolate chips in a heat-safe bowl using a microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring well between each, until smooth. Optionally add 1 tablespoon coconut oil before melting for silkier texture. Avoid overheating.
  3. Fold the Oreo chunks gently into the melted white chocolate, coating them well without crushing.
  4. Pour the mixture onto the parchment-lined baking sheet and spread evenly about 1/4-inch thick.
  5. Press candy eyes randomly into the warm, soft chocolate to create the monster effect.
  6. Place the baking sheet in the fridge for about 30 minutes to allow the bark to firm up completely.
  7. Once firm, break the bark into irregular pieces and store in an airtight container at room temperature or in the fridge.

Notes

Heat white chocolate gently in short bursts and stir frequently to avoid burning or seizing. Adding coconut oil helps smooth the chocolate. Let Oreos come to room temperature before mixing to prevent seizing. Chill the bark thoroughly for best snap and texture. If candy eyes are unavailable, use small dots of white chocolate piped on as eyes.
