A simple and festive Halloween treat combining crunchy pretzel rods with creamy white chocolate drizzles and candy eyes to create adorable mummy snacks. Quick to make and perfect for parties or cozy nights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounces white chocolate chips
  • Pretzel rods (sturdy, classic thin rods preferred)
  • Candy eyes
  • Optional toppings: mini chocolate chips, colored sprinkles, edible glitter
  • Optional: vegetable oil (to thin chocolate if needed)

Instructions

  1. Place 12 ounces (340 g) of white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl.
  2. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and glossy (about 2 minutes total). Add a teaspoon of vegetable oil if chocolate thickens too much.
  3. Lay pretzel rods on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Using a spoon or piping bag, drizzle white chocolate back and forth over each pretzel rod to create the mummy bandages, leaving space for the eyes (about 10 minutes).
  5. While the chocolate is still wet, use tweezers or a toothpick to place two candy eyes on each pretzel rod, pressing gently.
  6. Allow the pretzels to set at room temperature or refrigerate for 15-20 minutes until the chocolate hardens completely.
  7. Optional: Sprinkle mini chocolate chips or colored sprinkles before the chocolate sets.

Notes

Heat white chocolate gently to avoid seizing. Add a teaspoon of vegetable oil if chocolate thickens. Place candy eyes while chocolate is wet to ensure they stick. Allow chocolate to fully harden before handling to avoid smudging. For gluten-free or dairy-free options, use certified gluten-free pretzels and dairy-free white chocolate melts.
