Quick and easy crispy Oreo bites made in the air fryer, featuring a crunchy shell and melty cream center, dusted with powdered sugar for a delightful homemade dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 Oreos (classic sandwich cookies, regular or double-stuffed)
  • 1 teaspoon cooking spray or neutral oil (olive oil spray or avocado oil spray recommended)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting
  • Optional: mini chocolate chips or melted chocolate for drizzling
  • Optional: sprinkles or crushed nuts for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and let it warm up for about 3 minutes.
  2. Place about 12 Oreos in a mixing bowl. Lightly spray them with cooking oil—just enough to coat without soaking (about 1 teaspoon or 5 ml). Toss gently to coat all sides evenly.
  3. Arrange the Oreos in a single layer in the air fryer basket with space between each. Avoid overcrowding; cook in batches if needed.
  4. Air fry the bites for 5 minutes at 350°F (175°C). Halfway through (around 2.5 minutes), use tongs to carefully flip each Oreo to promote even crisping.
  5. Remove the bites and let them cool on a wire rack or plate for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Using a sifter or fine mesh strainer, sprinkle powdered sugar generously over the bites.
  7. Serve immediately while warm for the best texture and flavor.

Notes

Do not overcook the Oreo bites to avoid them becoming too hard or burnt. Flip halfway through cooking for even crispiness. Use fresh Oreos for best results. You can refresh leftover bites by reheating in the air fryer for 2 minutes at 320°F. Optional toppings like melted chocolate or crushed nuts can be added after dusting with powdered sugar.
