A light and elegant cocktail combining fresh strawberries, delicate rose water, and bubbly champagne, perfect for celebrations and easy to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 medium fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced per cocktail
  • 45 oz (120150 ml) chilled champagne or sparkling wine per glass
  • 1/4 teaspoon rose water per drink
  • 1 teaspoon simple syrup (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place 4 sliced strawberries into a mixing bowl or glass. Gently muddle with a muddler or wooden spoon to release juices but keep some texture (about 1-2 minutes).
  2. Add 1/4 teaspoon rose water to the mashed strawberries and stir gently (30 seconds).
  3. Pour in about 1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice and stir gently (30 seconds).
  4. Taste the mixture and add 1 teaspoon simple syrup if additional sweetness is desired; stir until combined (30 seconds).
  5. Divide the strawberry rose mixture evenly into chilled champagne flutes, filling each about one-third full (1 minute).
  6. Slowly pour 4-5 ounces (120-150 ml) of chilled champagne or sparkling wine into each glass, pouring gently to preserve bubbles (1 minute).
  7. Garnish with a fresh mint leaf or a small strawberry slice on the rim and serve immediately (30 seconds).

Notes

Use fresh, ripe strawberries for best flavor. Be cautious with rose water as it is potent; add gradually and taste. Chill glasses and champagne beforehand to preserve bubbles. Prepare strawberry mixture shortly before serving to avoid browning. Tilt glass when pouring champagne to reduce foam. Simple syrup is optional depending on strawberry sweetness.
