These Easy Ham and Swiss Sliders with Honey Mustard are quick, simple, and delicious, perfect for parties, potlucks, or game days. They feature soft slider buns filled with savory ham and melted Swiss cheese, topped with a sticky-sweet honey mustard glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 slider buns (soft dinner rolls)
  • 1 pound deli ham, thinly sliced (preferably smoked)
  • 12 slices Swiss cheese (Emmental or Gruyère optional)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds (optional)
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  3. Slice the slider buns in half horizontally if not pre-sliced, keeping tops and bottoms together.
  4. Arrange the bottom halves of the buns snugly in the baking dish.
  5. Layer the ham evenly over the bottom buns, about 3-4 slices per layer.
  6. Place one slice of Swiss cheese over the ham.
  7. Top with the bun tops, pressing gently but firmly to compact the sliders slightly.
  8. In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, honey, Dijon mustard, yellow mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until smooth.
  9. Brush the glaze generously over the tops of the buns.
  10. Sprinkle poppy seeds over the tops if using.
  11. Cover the dish loosely with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  12. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.
  13. Let the sliders rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Use fresh, soft slider buns for best results. Do not skip the honey mustard glaze as it adds essential flavor and moisture. Cover with foil while baking to keep buns soft and prevent drying. Thinly sliced ham layers better and is easier to bite through. For dairy-free or gluten-free versions, substitute cheese, butter, and buns accordingly.
