A creamy, spicy, and cheesy jalapeño popper dip that’s quick and easy to make, perfect for game nights, parties, and casual gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup (120 ml) mayonnaise
  • ½ cup (120 ml) sour cream
  • 34 medium jalapeños, seeded and finely chopped
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled
  • 1 cup (100 g) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup (50 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ cup (50 g) panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp fresh chives, chopped (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crisp, about 6-8 minutes. Drain on paper towels and crumble once cooled.
  3. Finely chop 3-4 jalapeños, removing seeds if you want less heat. You should have about ½ cup (75 g) chopped jalapeños.
  4. Mix cream cheese, mayonnaise, and sour cream in a mixing bowl using a hand mixer or sturdy spoon until smooth and creamy.
  5. Add shredded cheddar, mozzarella, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Fold gently to combine.
  6. Stir in chopped jalapeños and crumbled bacon until well distributed.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a greased 8×8 inch baking dish, spreading evenly.
  8. Sprinkle panko breadcrumbs evenly over the top.
  9. Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the dip is bubbling around the edges.
  10. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Soften cream cheese at room temperature for smooth mixing. Cook bacon crisp for best texture and flavor. Optionally sauté jalapeños in bacon grease for milder heat. Tent with foil if top browns too fast. Broil last 2 minutes for extra crisp topping. Use gluten-free panko or crushed nuts for gluten-free version. Vegetarian version can omit bacon and add smoked paprika or liquid smoke.
