Ingredients

  • 2 oz (60 ml) vodka
  • 1 oz (30 ml) chocolate liqueur
  • 1 oz (30 ml) heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Ice cubes
  • Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder for garnish
  • Optional: chocolate syrup for glass rim

Instructions

  1. Chill your martini glass in the freezer for about 10 minutes.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice cubes.
  3. Add 2 oz vodka, 1 oz chocolate liqueur, 1 oz heavy cream, and 1/2 tsp vanilla extract into the shaker.
  4. Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until cold and frothy.
  5. If desired, drizzle chocolate syrup inside the chilled glass and swirl to coat the sides.
  6. Strain the shaken cocktail into the glass, leaving the ice behind.
  7. Garnish with chocolate shavings or a light dusting of cocoa powder.
  8. Serve immediately while cold and creamy.

Notes

Use fresh ice to avoid watering down the cocktail. Shake well but avoid over-shaking to prevent cream separation. Chill the glass beforehand for best results. Garnish creatively with chocolate shavings or cocoa powder. For dairy-free, substitute heavy cream with coconut cream.
