These crispy pizza crescent roll ups combine flaky crescent dough with gooey string cheese and savory pepperoni for a quick, delicious snack perfect for kids and parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough (preferably Pillsbury)
  • About 20 pepperoni slices (regular or turkey)
  • 4 string cheese sticks, cut in half (mozzarella style preferred)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. Unroll crescent dough and separate into 8 triangles. Press perforations gently to seal.
  3. Sprinkle Italian seasoning and garlic powder evenly over each triangle.
  4. Place 2-3 pepperoni slices near the wide base of each triangle, then lay half a string cheese stick on top.
  5. Roll each triangle from the wide end toward the point, tucking the point underneath to seal.
  6. Brush the outside of each roll up with olive oil or melted butter.
  7. Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top of each roll up.
  8. Place roll ups about 1 inch apart on the baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  9. Let cool for a couple of minutes before serving to prevent hot cheese burns.

Notes

Use cold string cheese for easier handling and better melt. Seal dough edges well to prevent cheese leakage. Brush with olive oil or melted butter for a golden, crispy crust. Watch baking time closely to avoid over-browning. Can be baked in an air fryer at 350°F for 8-10 minutes, turning halfway through. Freeze assembled roll ups on a tray before transferring to a freezer bag for make-ahead convenience.
