These crispy pepperoni pizza rolls are a quick and easy homemade snack featuring a golden, crunchy crust with gooey cheese and spicy pepperoni, served with marinara sauce for dipping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450 g) refrigerated pizza dough
  • About 40 pepperoni slices
  • 1 ½ cups (150 g) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup (25 g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp garlic-infused olive oil (or 1 clove minced garlic mixed with olive oil)
  • 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
  • Pinch of salt, to taste
  • Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup (240 ml) marinara sauce
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for extra heat
  • Optional: chopped fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a 12 x 10 inch (30 x 25 cm) rectangle about ¼ inch (6 mm) thick.
  3. Brush the dough with half the garlic-infused olive oil evenly.
  4. Layer pepperoni slices evenly over the dough, leaving a ½-inch (1.3 cm) border around the edges.
  5. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the pepperoni. Optionally toss cheese with Italian seasoning before sprinkling.
  6. Season lightly with salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
  7. Starting at one long edge, roll the dough into a tight log, pinching edges to seal.
  8. Slice the log into 1-inch (2.5 cm) thick rolls, yielding about 10-12 rolls.
  9. Place rolls cut side up on the prepared baking sheet, spacing about 1 inch (2.5 cm) apart.
  10. Brush tops with remaining garlic-infused olive oil and sprinkle extra Parmesan cheese on each roll.
  11. Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted and bubbly.
  12. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes.
  13. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

Use cold refrigerated dough for easier handling. Don’t overfill to avoid leaking or soggy dough. Brush with garlic-infused olive oil for extra flavor and golden crust. Adjust baking temperature if rolls brown too quickly. Warm marinara sauce before serving. Rolls can be assembled ahead and refrigerated up to 24 hours before baking. Freeze baked rolls for longer storage and reheat in oven for best texture.
