A quick and easy snack featuring crispy fries topped with smoky bacon, melted cheddar cheese, and creamy ranch dressing. Perfect for snack time, parties, or a comforting treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups (600 grams) frozen French fries (thick-cut preferred)
  • 6 strips bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1½ cups (170 grams) shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup (120 ml) ranch dressing
  • 2 stalks green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: sliced jalapeños

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Cook the bacon on a baking sheet or skillet for 12-15 minutes until crisp. Drain on paper towels and crumble once cooled.
  3. Spread frozen fries evenly on a parchment-lined baking sheet or wire rack. Toss with garlic powder and black pepper.
  4. Bake fries for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  5. Remove fries from oven and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over them. Scatter crumbled bacon on top.
  6. Return to oven and bake for another 5-7 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Take fries out and drizzle with ranch dressing. Add sliced green onions and optional jalapeños.
  8. Serve immediately while cheese is gooey and fries are crispy at the edges.

Notes

For extra crispy fries, use a wire rack and flip fries halfway through baking. Add bacon fat to fries before baking for extra flavor. Add ranch dressing just before serving to keep it creamy. Avoid microwaving leftovers to maintain crispiness; reheat in oven at 400°F for 8-10 minutes.
